Sorrento is a lovely town with a nice port area and lots of restaurants. Or you could travel further down the coast to the amalfi coast which has heaps of gorgeous, picturesque little fishing villages.
The island of capri is also lovely, with beautiful views.
Wherever you go in this area you will have a fantastic time. Maybe you should get a guide book to southern italy and see which towns/villages would suit your needs the most.

Hi! I am an Italian girl, I love Italy and what can I sugest you to visit (both to enjoy sea and seafood) is Costiera Amalfitana, that is to say Amalfi, Sorrento and Capri, or Apulia, where I come from!! Both these regions are lovely, expecially in summer and there's a lot to see...if you come in Apulia you should see the South, Lecce for example has a great historical background, lovely shores in the coast and lots of delicious seafood! And moreover it is quite cheap! Enjoy your trip!

As a UK travel agent who has visited Italy many times, I would recommend Amalfi for what you want to do, or Positano on the Amalfi coast. The views are stunning and the whole area is full of atmosphere. Are you touring the whole country? Venice is a unique experience - one you will remember for a lifetime. Florence is steeped in history and art. The wine-growing regions of the Arno valley in Tuscany are like being in an impressionist painting. It's truly my fave European country - I could go on for hours!! (but I won't , you'll be glad to hear...)

Deffinetly Naples. Go to the island Procida if you want to avoid too many tourists. They have nice little ports woth fishing boats. Otherwise try Naples itself or go to Capri and the Amalfi coast. The sea food is good everywhere there. Naples is amazing although some parts are really depressing (Quarteri Spagnoli). I lived in Naples for three years and I never got bored. Do not go swimming to often though. The bay of Naples is pretty poluted.

Hi,

Then I can give you the perfect place:
The little town Pescichi in Apulia (Puglia).

My wife and I have had our two last summer vacations there and can absolutely recommend it!

Nice city, top seafood(!), nice beach and very rich surroundings in the Gargano nationalpark.

Have a look at my article here:

PS! Second article from the top.

I hope you find this info useful, have a nice trip!

Puglia is really beautiful, placed you get fabulous food.If you want to be very relaxed and a very clean sea,Sardinia is made for you.Someone calles it the Maldives of Italy. Then we have Campania, with Naples,Sorrento,Capri. It depends where you go,but you can spend very little for food, you wouldn't imagine,or a lot,in particular in Capri.
