right after my ultrasound they took my husband and i in to a room and showed us the pictures. they told us then and there it was cancer, although they told us we would have to have further testing to find out what stage, etc.

Not very much. After my ultrasound, the radiologist offered me the option to wait 3 months before doing a biopsy because the growth looked benign to him, and because I was 42 at the time. Thank goodness I said no way, I want a biopsy now. It was a 6mm stage 1 tumor. A biopsy is the only way to be 100% sure.

Anyway, this was 3-1/2 years ago, I had lumpectomy, CMF chemo, and radiation. Now I have monthly lupron injections to suppress ovaries and take Arimidex, so........... I am still here! There is life after Breast Cancer!

Peace and take care.
