The honors Chemistry class at my high school is really difficult. All of my friends who have taken it have had to stay up late every night and work really hard to pass this class. I'm not that interested in science, so I really don't want to take the class, but my councilor says if I want to get into an out of state collage I have to take chemistry. Should I take the class?

I would think it depends on the requirements of the out-of-state college. If they want Chemistry, then take it now. If you're not sure, ask the different colleges to see what their requirements are and go from there.

If you're worried about doing hard work, then you might want to know that college (depending on your major, of course) is full of long nights and difficult assignments. That's probably not your best gauge.

If you have to take Chemistry, have a positive attitude, don't worry about what others thought of it, and just do your best. Believe in yourself, and you might learn to like Chemistry. :)

Been there, done that.

I'm taking chem right now because I heard that it was important for colleges as well. Ummm, I'm in honors, and its not so bad, but I think it depends on the teacher. If you think you might have problems with it next year, you don't have to take honors. Or, if you are determined to take all honors classes, you could get a tutor or the teacher to help you.

It looks better for you for any college in general to take honors classes and four years of science. Chemistry helps you with problem solving skills, thinking, and logic. You just need to work hard at it and do your best.

try to be certain in the journey that your college calls for you to take chemistry. At my college, we are required to take it. yet chemistry is truthfully substantial in case you want to pursue a occupation contained in the medical field because you're guaranteed to take it in college back.
