Now do your research.

Go get the smallest amount of paint from a craft or paint store.

Do your own test.

Show your samples - and have someone in your family try to verify your work.

So then you have your results.

Try this: Paint something white, something grey, and paint something black. Put all painted objects near a window where they will get lots of sun. Then time how long each takes to dry.
The darker the color... the quicker it should dry... because dark colors absorb heat from the sun, while light colours reflect heat from the sun. You can also try the same experiment with other colors... Yellow might dry quicker than blue because it's lighter.

to answer your science question it's not the color difference of paint it's the pigments that are used to make the certain colors...
since real precious and semi precious metal pigments are used to make various colors...different drying times do happen....Cadmium based colors seem to dry a little slower...this is because of the pigmentation of the paint.. some colors also reflect light different than others but it really doesn't effect the drying process that much...also oil based colors will dry different than acrylic colors....so it does all depend on the pigments used in the colors....

you get to do the experimentation. get some gold metalic, some white some red some blue, green, etc: get annie's or something cheap from hobby lobby or michael's or some bigbox craft store (fifty cents a colour) paint a piece of primed wood and leave in a room out of the sun...then time them which one dries first, second, etc. etc.
this is what science is all about...doing the experimentation...that is how you learn, child.

In my opinion, I think that black paint dries faster if it's in the sun. White paint takes longer to dry. But really it's the amount of chemicle drying agent it has.
