I always wanted to visit Japan...I have visited New York and lived there. Visited NYCity (which I assume is where you want to live) and lived in Upstate New York (New York is a whole state, you know). New York City is great to visit but I could not imagine living there; too many tourists, too loud, it's a very big city...surely people who have grown up there would not want to miss it, but to move there? I can imagine, it is the same with Paris; I love visiting it, I could not imagine living there, too anonymous.
Upstate New York is beautiful to look at; too cold for me. Plus, we lived in a small village. I grew up in a midsize town, so maybe I am not the right one to answer this question!

I think you should stay put. Your country is very beautiful and accomodating. Why would you want to go anywhere? If I were you I'd never leave. Also, you are young so you can't make the trip alone even if you wanted to. By the way, I love Japan. Great country, great people. Sionara my friend and take care.

Depends on WHY you don't like Japan. If you think it's too crowded and fast paced, don't do to NYC.

Look into going to college in the US. That will give you a flavor for American culture.
