It depends on the woman. You can't generalize like that. I know of a woman who's 54 and she has long blonde hair and she looks beautiful. And on the other side, I have a friend who's 48, has long hair and looks about 65! It depends on the woman. I work with a lot of 50 ish women and their hair lengths vary greatly.

I personally think so. I think it just advertises the fact that they are older, puts all their flaws on display and can be quite unflattering. I'm not saying ultra long hair is the way to go, but chopping all their locks off isn't either. I think a nice chin to shoulder length, layered haircut would probably be the most flattering. At 45+, women want to look soft and feminine and an ultra short haircut is probably not going to achieve this. HTH : )

I think it depends on the woman, and her hair type. As a show of defiance, I started to grow my hair longer. (I am over 45) Most of my friends think an older woman should keep her hair shorter. I don't like being like "most " women. My hair is shoulder length, in a modern style, I keep it trimmed and healthy looking. All my younger friends love it and say it makes me look younger, and that's good enough for me. More important, I love it, and that's what matters, right?

Although it depends on things such as hair colour and face shape, my hairdresser told me that older women look older when they keep the long hair, and that short haircuts are usually more flattering and youthful looking.

I think attitude plays an important role here. Also, if a woman has fabulous skin, she's luckier than most. Hair length is the last thing to consider.

If that's you in the 360 picture, I think it looks great. To answer your question it may appear as though they do look older. Not all women, but just a general thought

for women that age, I like shoulder-length hair. Short hair is not very attractive on woman of any age, IMO.

i don't necessarily think so like lisa remi the one that was on dancing with the stars she looks great. i think when you cut it out around the ears it makes you look older. short bobs are great and short crown cuts are pretty too
