Aries was the Greek god of war. Thor is Nordic, and the god of thunder.

Those that tell you Mars are somewhat incorrect. Mars was Roman, not Greek, but Mars and Aries were considered the same being. Thor, however is more closely related to Zeus (Greek) and Jupiter (Roman.)

Strangely enough there are many who will say mars, ares, thor etc. But what most do not know is that they all orginally were one and the same becuase The norse God's, Greek Gods and Roamn Gods all came from one source. They had their names changed to make them specific to their cultures but they are the same God's. Also strangely enough, they all came from even older pagan god's which represented elements and such like. The war God came from an ancient 'god' who was first called the 'angel of death'.

The mists of time have obscured these details but they can be found if yo dig deep enough.
