the possibilities are endless, really. it's all depending on what you like. you must have a personality, i'm sure. get something to represent it. i hate to say it, but i don't know why everyone is suggesting tribal, barbed wire and foreign languages. unless you're in a tribe, you build fences or you speak another language, these don't make sense to me. they're cliche and impersonal. while it is ultimately your decision, i always stress that a tattoo, no matter what you get, should be thought about for a long time. something dated, like the things i mentioned above WILL eventually go out of style. and then years from now, everyone will know the time era around when you got your tattoo and wonder why everyone back then got the same thing. the tattoo doesn't even have to be all that deep or meaningful, just as long as you like it and it represents you. your best bet is to come up with some ideas, do some research if you have to, then find a good tattoo artist and they can help you come up with a cool design. good luck and remember to try and be original.

The best tattoo a man can get is the one he has always wanted.
You should ask yourself why you want a tattoo first and then the answer will come to you soon after.
If you don't get an answer and you still really want one, here are a few suggestions to get you started.
Zodiac sign - The great thing about tattooing the symbol for Pisces, or a big lion (leo) or ram (aries) is that you will always be that sign no matter what. Make sure you get something that will mean exactly the same thing to you now as it will when you turn 80.
Ornamental designs - However cliche it may be, the barbed wire around the bicep is always an option. Tribal designs are an option as well since they can come in an infinite number or shapes and sizes.
Foreign languages - Chinese symbols, as well as aramaic and hindi manuscripts are always good conversation starters. Be careful, though. Make sure that what you get inked on you means exactly what you think it does.
Of course, the best rule of thumb is the more unique, the better.
And the more meaning it has to you, the longer you will love it.

A good tattoo for a guy, boy, man w/e to get can't be found by taking a YA poll! Get something that means something to you, screw what people tell you to get!

don't get a tattoo just to get one. It has to be one you can live with for the rest of your life. do a lot of searching untill you see something that you really like. than think twice about it

depends what your into. let the tattoo represent yourself in some way like maybe a woman on your upper back, someone you care about a lot, someone who has helped you in the past or just get something that you are interested in or supports your interests. totally hot by the way if you go with something meaningful that, i hate to say it, involves barbwire or something naughty.

If you have to ask this, I don't think you should be getting a tattoo. And don't go to the tatoo shop to blindly pick something out of the book you didn't already have in your head. Please get something meaningful to you!
