It depend on the B&B's own policies. In England and Wales, you might have more of a problem since you require parental permission to leave home if you're under eighteen and they might be suspicious of runaways whereas, in Scotland, you probably won't be frowned upon as much as people aged sixteen plus are allowed to leave home without parental permission so they're less likely to jump to conclusions.

I'd phone up B&Bs with your parents to find one that will let you stay. When you go, draw up a letter to show you have parental permission to go on this holiday and have your parents sign it in case you do have unexpected problems.

Some B&Bs require you to give a credit card number, in which case you won't be able to stay there. However, if they allow you to pay cash up front then you shouldn't have a problem...just don't tell them how old you are.

Make your age clear when you make a reservation - get your confirmation in writing. Also consider staying at a youth hostel... there are some decent ones.
