The real problem isn't the price of gas, it is the price you pay for bottled water. Bottled water is the world's biggest scam. Millions waste money on it every year. You can get gallons of water for 30 cents or less at a water purification company. Even then you can just take a sports bottle and refill it in your sink for practically free. You can go get a bucket of salt water from the ocean for free.

There are two issues here:

Petrol prices shouldn't really be cheap. We should be more careful on how and how much we use.
Bottled water is a big scam which produces a lot of waste. In most European countries you can drink tap water....Tap water goes trough more quality controls than bottled water! However water will become more expensive simply because...and you're not going to believe it...we're running out of it. We have been so bad at managing fresh water that it's going to become a very very expensive commodity...

I live in Venezuela, this country produces oil. Gasoline costs between 1.666 and 2.308 p/litre. Water is around 70p per litre. IT IS RIDICULOUS!!!! In fact, I think it is actually sinister...
The oil companies/people doing all sorts of vacuous things to drown themselves in money, at a terrible cost for everybody and everything in this planet and they can't even take that money with them to the tomb. Money will survive them
