my 4 year old son told me earlier that he hates me and wants to live with my ex girlfriend. Shes not even his mom nor was she around for long. Shes nice to him and im sure she loves him but hes MY son. Hes mad at me because I "made her leave" and yes i did break up with her but for his sake. He was getting attached to her and its not good for him because i didnt think wed be together for long, and now I dont let her come around. I know he didn't mean what he said but it hurt. What should I do ? Let her come around or keep her away ?

I'm glad to see you listened to the answers you were given for your privious questions. Just be certain that you pay attention to him and reassure him that you both are family. Try to understand how he feels. Please don't bring in any more women for him to get attached to unless you see it as a lasting relationship. After all, you are the grown-up.

Wow. That sucks pretty bad. Why can't they still hang out? If my ex, who loved my kids very much, wanted to take them to play or to mcdonalds for an afternoon, I wouldn't mind. They can still be friends, right? Does the girlfriend still want to see him? Trust me, the more people who love your children, the more secure they will be as they get older. Surround them with people who love them as much as you can.

In the future, unless things are very serious..you should not introduce someone you are dating to a child. They will tell you that in every parenting class there is.
