well it depends what was happening at the time if you had fallen out or in an arguement it proberly means he thinks you basically oppisits but then again oppisits attract ! all depends on what had happened before he said it !! hope this is some help

It does mean that you are opposites but it's a good thing because the phrase is based on the info that opposites attract and not that you hate each other.
