Ok, first you should know that SOME not ALL guys don't like being asked out, they like to ask out instead. NOT USUALLY though. Here are some things they like: sense of humor, spunk, intelligence, openness, empathy, compassion, hotness, similar taste, boldness. So when you do ask him out, make sure you are some of those things.
When you do get the date, here are some tips: 1. listen to music while you get ready, fun stuff like the pussycat dolls. The beat will put you in a good mood. 2. Choose your outfit. NEVER wear brand new clothes on a first date, you want to feel comfortable. 3. Boost your ego. I may sound crazy when I say this, but before i go on dates I stand in front of a mirror and look at myself while i'm getting ready. I tell myself ou loud that I am hot. Guys like girls with confidence and telling yourself this outloud will boost your ego. 4. Don't obsess. I usually read a magazine until he is at my door while I wait for him, when I am done getting ready. 5. This kinda goes along with the listening to music, but I pop in a sex in the city dvd. The girls are dating experts, lol and it makes me feel less worried about impressing my date.
Where the date should be: DON'T ask him to the movies. It seems common but it's too dark and quiet. On the other hand, you don't want to go to a too loud place. Ask him out at the right place. Something like the ice skating rink is nice, it's a great place to get to know your date.
Ok, what you have been waiting for: To ask him out, be simple and concise. For example let's call him Josh and you Emie. Emie goes "Hey Josh, good thing we have that science project over with*" Josh, "yeah, now I can focus on other things" (or something like that) emily "yeah, i'm going ice skating this weekend, do you want to go together?"
*Hint: DON'T BE LATE, IT'S A MAJOR TURNOFF*
