Do you know anyone who has ever been there? What did they think of the area?

My parents live there. I lived there for a while. The area is unique. It is a rural town with a private college. Washington College which was founded a long time ago..sometime in the 1700's I think is there. There are only 2 bars inside Chestertown and two grocery stores. They have a small downtown historic area. In the spring time they have the Tea Party in which the whole town goes into party mode and has re-enactments of a tea party that happened in Chestertown which was inspired by the Boston tea Party. Very cool if you get the chance to go there. The bad area is basically High Street. This is kind of interesting. If you follow college sports and remember that kid from Baylor who was murdered and thrown into the lake...well his killer was found in Chestertown at his grandmother's house.

It's a neat town actually. Great seafood there and it's a great area to visit, right on the Bay (great especially if you're into boating).

It's just beautiful! Quaint, but with plenty of nice little restaurants and shops! It is also quite close to lots of gorgeous nature preserves and parks.
It has its own web site.
