if you are really liking a guy at a bar and he is confident and cool, you give him your number with a smile, but then when he calls and leaves a message on your machine and sounds more serious and self-conscious, would you call him back or would being nervous on the phone be a turn-off (despite being Mr. cool when you first met him)? I do this a lot.. let me know!

First impressions are the most important. I don't care if he just says "Yo, this is so and so give me a call back aight!" If he won me at the meeting enough for me to give him my number I'll call him back for a date. If he's really nervous on the phone call and mr cool in the meeting, that's endearing for me. Makes me think he really likes me and doesn't want to blow it.

Haha, surely when he was at the bar he had had a few inhibition-relaxing drinks, so he would come across as confident and cool.

Be flattered that he thinks you are out of his league and gets tongue-tied when leaving you a message.

Attraction is something you will feel (or not) when/if you meet up again.

Good luck with it!

Be more confident, I think it's rude to give a guy your number and when he calls you don't call him back. The atmosphere changes see.

IF HE SOUNDS NERVOUS ON THE PHONE THEN I WOULD KNOW THAT HE IS AFRAID OF BEING REJECTED AND NOT AN ALL CONFIDENT A**. I WOULD DEFINATELY WANT TO CALL HIM BACK
