I heard this term in chariots of fire where the French were called frogs.

The French were famous for their odd cuisine, including snails and frog legs. No Brit would be caught dead eating such things, so they disparagingly called them Frogs to vilify them. The two powers spent a phenomenal amount of time at war.

Frog legs are a delicacy and are quite good.

not positive but most people dont like eather . slimy and ugly with nice legs.
