Yes, I agree. I think some would say how can you hear a "tone" in a written message, but I agree with you. There is a "tone" in the questions they ask. The bias of some is clear in their questions. They seem designed to make people doubt their faith. I've seen christians do it too. If that's the case then they aren't really needing answers, but an audience. Their motives are in question for even being in here. I suppose we will always encounter people like this in our lives, this side of heaven.

Yes there is a big difference between the limited intellect and the qualities of spirituality. Intellect can lead to egotism it's very detached from the heart and maybe this is what you are sensing.

It doesn't matter.. no matter what scripture is being shared, it will be most likely resisted and the one who is sharing will be told they are either evil or angry. The word of God is crystal clear, it is authoritative and directional. And if it comes across as angry, that is just God's message convicting someone's heart into realizing they are not living according to the word of God.
I personally get annoyed when people either try to twist God's word to conform to their sinful lifestyles by making up stupid excuses as to what in their opinion "God actually meant", or another example of a stupid excuse would be ... " God said for us to love one another, so what is wrong with homosexuality, I'm only loving like God told me to". That is a good example of how people manipulate God's word to excuse or fit into their sinful lifestyles.
We are not to tolerate sin. We are to share God's word with others. We have no control over how a person receives that message. We can only pray that they open their hearts and minds to God's truth.

We all only care about what appeals to us Sister. But
Paul said he was made ALL thngs to ALL people, so some might be saved. What might sound mean to one
person. Might be the shock it takes to get an arrogant
person off of his high-horse!
Everything works to the good for those that Love God.

I agree with you , light. some of these questions are put in such a way that you know they are really just looking for others who share their opinion and hatred. If they really wanted an answer, they would ask in a different way.

Here's a better question, why trust the message of any person regardless of their tone. Why not examine the content of the message and decide for yourself?
