There are several different specialists you may pursue. Infectious Disease specialists are Internists with fellowship training. Hepatologists are Internists with advanced training in liver disease. Gastroenterologists (GI doc) are Internists with advanced training in the entire digestive system-including the liver. When scheduling an appointment with whomever you choose, ask if they specialize in or deal with Hepatitis and liver disease.

See a Gastroenterologist. They specialize in the GI tract and Liver conditions. I work for a GI group we treat Hepatitis patients. Good Luck.

Change MD's u need a referral to a Gastroenterologist or Liver clinic. Also u might like to consider contacting a hepc support group they r confidential & can link u in to services that can help.
Stay well, keep ur spirits up u r not alone.
