I used to be on Topamax and never felt "high" from it.
However, I have several friends who nicknamed the drug DOPE-A-MAX

I took it a few years ago for migraines. For about 3 weeks I was in another realm completely, I was hugely depressed and I experienced more vertigo than I had with the migraines previously. I was also easily agitated. My doctor took me off it then. However, that was my experience, everyone reacts differently to medication. Drink LOTS of fluids while you're taking topamax unless your doctor tells you not to for some reason (the fluids will present the onset of kidney stones - a side effect of taking Topamax). Don't miss any doses; however, if you miss one and it is nearly time for your next one, don't double-dose or you'll be messing with your kidneys (and your mindset) hard.

I have been on it now for about three years and it took me along time to get up to 100mgs because I felt like I could not focus or concentrate. I was always in a fog.

no "high' at all I 've been taking topomax for 1 1/2 year now

it didn't make me feel high...but i was on it at a low dose....
it can help you lose weight that you gain on other psych meds and it can help fade old scars.......
