Sometimes the animal shelters charge a fee for spaying or neutering, that is a good idea. If you want a totally free puppy check-out your local newspaper under pets, or you can call the paper, theres always people looking for good homes for puppys they can't keep. Be a good responsible owner.( Good Luck )

Look on www.craigslist.com. There is a "free" category. Sometimes people list puppies for free there. Check with your parents first if you are still a young person. Also, no pet is "free". The cost of their care can be quite high. If a puppy eats a 50 cent can of dog food each day, in a year it will have cost over $180.00. This is pretty cheap dog food. Also, do not forget visits to the vet for shots and sick care. That can be a couple hundred bucks also.
Good luck.

Check the ads in the newspaper. Lots of people give dogs and puppies away to a good home for free. The Humane Society charges an minimal fee for the cost of spaying, etc. Usually less than $50. Good luck!

If you can't afford the purchase of a puppy, you will likely not be able to afford the necessary shots he will need and additional vetrinary care should there be a problem.
If you have considered this and are prepared (financially) to take on this responsibility, then you might find a less expensive animal in a shelter.
Consider also, that a puppy will not only need shots but also spay/neuter. This will cost hundreds of dollars. An adult rescue might be the best option for you if your finances are tight.

Bear in mind that there is no such thing as a 'free' puppy. Count on any dog costing upwards of $1000 a year for food, toys, vet care, Frontline, Heartguard, etc.
Best to visit your local Humane Shelter and adopt a dog from there, and PLEASE do some serious research on what breeds would best fit your life style first. Choosing the wrong dog will make you and the new pup miserable.

animal shelters dont give dogs for free. you still have to pay an adoption fee. you can go to www.craigslist.com they have a section of free stuff and a pet section. or you can go to google and type in free puppies. i tried that and got a few websites who had free puppies listed. you can also check the classified section in your local newspaper.

try try the local paper or call your local vet's office. They usually know of one or two people with a litter of mutts.
If you are looking for a purebred puppy for free, you are likely Sh*t outta luck.
