Has anyone ever actually made a Birds Trifle since the 80s?

i can't understand why anybody would use a packet mix to make trifle when it is so easy, i like to vary the flavours and my last one was 'pear and ginger'. My Aunt still uses the Birds ones, so i never eat trifle at her house

I havent seen them for years. I hated the 100s and 1000s on the top though and sometimes the custard would stay runny...Much prefer to make my own now but I still use Birds custard powder!

Trifle is good , we had it for New Year's.
It was made with good custard, lady finger cakes and fresh strawberries and blueberries and peaches.
