Your child will show signs of when he is ready to potty train. Training to early can cause bed wetting. I say 2 1/2 is a good age to start seriously trying to train. If he stays dry at night, that's a good sign that he's ready. If he hides when he does #2, then he's ready. As far as the cod liver oil goes, I personally thing it is cruel to give a child cod liver oil. My mother gave it to me because that is what she was taught. It is disgusting and unnecessary. It doesn't help anything and if it does there are better things available today.

All three of my children were around 3 years old until they were potty trained. They honestly weren't ready until then, and I was told by my pediatrician not to rush them.
I don';t know the first thing about cod liver oil, what is it necessary for?

You don't start until she shows signs of being ready. That is usually around the age of 2 but can be later.
Why would you give cod liver oil to a child?
