You can look for the people in question on
http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi
If you find them, send e-mail to the genealogist who contributed the data. He/she may know of descendants. (He/she may not; some people "collect" individuals they aren't related to.)
You can post a note on a surname board at GenForum. Start here:
http://genforum.genealogy.com/surnames/
http://www.tedpack.org/goodpost.html
has a page of advice on posting a good query.
Best of luck, and thank you for being so nice!

Well if you have full names you can search on Ancestry.com and if they are still living you may find a telephone/address information however you may have to join the site. You can also try googling the names sometimes you can get information on the person, if they are local try your own phone book. If that doesn't get you to someone who is related or knows them go to USgenweb for your state and find a local genelogy group to donate the information to help local researcher in genelogy and they may be able to find the family they belong to.

Start by looking up the names in the towns they lived in. Maybe call the local sheriffs department in that town or city hall. Maybe they can tell you if they are still there. County court houses may even be of some help. Good luck hunting. I hope you find them.

⥠⥠post the info on different websites if you want to give them away... if you have names go to ancestry.com and look at the trees, you might find an email address of someone searching the same family name... go to Deadfred.com and post some info there too...you can also google or yahoo search the name too as you may find something⥠â¥

Since I don't know the exact answer, may I suggest you try calling a large library in your city and ask the reference librarian for help on this one. She'll be able to point you in the right direction.
Hope this helps.
