Cause to go to the ER woman. Sounds like he had a bloody nose at some point and now he's passing clotted blood... or it could be something worse... or maybe he just snorted dirt and its in his snot. BUt either way, get it checked out.

Is it light brown or dark brown? Dark brown is probably blood, light brown is probably an infection. If he has a fever, you might want to take him to the doctor. If you're unsure about taking him to the doctor, look up his symptoms at WebMd.com.

HE HAS A COLD ,MY LITTLE NEPHEW HAD THAT SAME BROWN STUFF COMING OUT OF HIS NOSE IT WAS BLOOD, FROM BLOWING HIS NOSE SO MUCH THEN THE INSIDE OF HIS NOSE WILL DRY UP AND WHEN YOU WOULD TOUCH IT TO BLOW IT WOULD START TO BLEED BUT IT HAD MUCUS IN IT ,AS SOON AS HE GETS BETTER IT WILL GO AWAY ,GIVE HIM SOME BABY ASPRN OR SOME CHIDRENS MOTRIN.

HIS SINUS MAY BE BLEEDING BUT YOU REALLY MAY WANT TO TAKE HIME IN TO MAKE SURE ITS NOT A HEAD INJURY OR SOMETHNG
