Well I have played football since I was 7 and now I am 18.I know my football season is over but my coach says I probably won't make the team next year.I really love to play football and I am really good at it too.Can some people just throw in some reasons why maybe he won't let me on the team??(and no I don't take anything like steroids and no I don't have AIDS!!!)

Did anyone who answered this question consider the fact that the coach may be a jerk? A lot of them are.

Instead of asking us go to him and ask why he feels that way. There is something that has him feeling that it wont work, once you know what it is work on correcting it over the next few months and possibly ask for suggestions from him or even his help in overcoming the problem. He is the only one who can help you at this point (along with yourself) so find the problem and fix it, second chances are handed out every day...just make sure you do what is required to earn that chance.

Do you put enough work into what your doing? maybe your good enough but ur not there and dont know the plays well enough.. Do you show the incentive to go to non mandatory workouts? Do you lift hard enough? There's many reasons why he may feel the way he does.. keep your dream going and give it your all.. im 17 and play football too..

Not a team player maybe. Really would be better to see the action. Either that or maybe you have a bad realtionship with the coach.

either more players coming back that are better than you, or you have a bad attitude or dont' work hard. It has to be something of that nature or it would be to his advantage to bring you back. Maybe you need to take a step back and look at yourself and see what it is.

some of these coach's think they're pretty smart, maybe in his mind he thinks this will motivate you during the off season,to stay in shape and work out. Good luck.

Maybe because you are already 18 yrs. old. Most high schools won't let you play football if you are over 18.
