I have italian old fashioned parents. They don't believe in just being friends with guys. Its either you date the guy or not. Im in my mid twenties and im so sick of hearing them telling me what to do and who to hang out with.
Im just using this as an example, but i happen to be friends with my ex bf. Despite the fact that our relationship didn't work, hes still a really good friend and i like to hang out with him. There is also some other guys I have been friends with that i met through other people, but my parents give me such crap about seeing these guys to "just be friends". My generation is so different and to be honest im not the type of person to just drop a person completely. Anyone else have this problem with their parents?

Not exactly the same but I moved close to my parents to help take care of them and they try to tell me how to do everything and I am in my 50’s. If you pay your own bills just do what you want like I do. They don’t have to know everything about your life if they give you trouble when you tell them.♪
