Okay your black person and you work at Taco bell-
So your a responsible person with a job- what is the problem here?
Why not Taco Bell? We all need to start somewhere!
Best wishes and next time I drive through- I will be thankful that a responsible person made me a wonderful taco!
A few things that my fast food jobs taught me was humility and organization are powerful tools for personal growth.
Humor- I must understand that at this moment I have the power, my hands are on your food and your being rude to me. So "who" is the bigger person here? Enjoy your meal.

I suppose it's because there is a volatile race issue going on in some places like California down in Compton, and Watts where it was once predominantly African American it is now mostly Hispanics. Hispanics are owning most of the businesses and homes in those areas and are freezing out the African Americans who were there for 20 years or more.
The inference is that Taco Bell is "mexican" food and you are African American working there.
Don't listen. The dollar doesn't distinguish between either one of you. Unless someone else is willing to pay your bills then don't listen to them.
Continue working it is commendable.

I am baffled. Why should this be a problem for some people? Working at a fast food restaurant is a hard job (I know, I did it for a short time).
You are no doubt, a hard worker, courteous and respectful.
Keep up the good work.

Applauds.....
At least you have a job. Every penny counts.
My cousin is BLACK. He is 17 and works at Taco Bell. He just saved enough money to buy exactly what he wanted. A old Cutlas and put 24's on it. Now he is saving to get it painted.

why should it matter if u are black and work at taco bell? Is there some weird american attitude to it? I wouldn't care what colour or whatever physical attributes you'd have but hope at least the food is prepared hygenically?

I guess people stereotype that black people should work at KFC and Mexicans should work at Taco Bell

What difference does it make what ethnic background you are?
If you are employed you are not draining the social systems.
Good for you! Keep your chin up and keep working hard! One day it won't be Taco Bell, and then you can tell those who looked down on you to kiss your black buttocks!!

Some people are prejudice against those unlike themselves making their food. It doesn't matter what culture you come from if you chose to cook. You can make any food you please.
However, if you do chose to cook, you need to make sure you wash your hands, and follow the instructions (especially when it comes to washing vegetables, and cooking meats to a high enough temperature.) Some people from some different backgrounds have taken longer to understand that. (It has nothing to do with skin color, it has to do with being willing to accept education to prevent people from getting sick. There are people with Master's Degrees that do not want to listen to this.)
