Body Splash: would not have a spray pump. You pour the liquid or gel on your hand and apply to your skin.
Body Spray: has a spray pump for easier application. (It is best to spray as you walk into the mist, i.e. with your arm extended in front of you, spray towards your body, as you step forward into the mist.) You could also spray your clothing, including the inside of your jacket, a scarf, or your bra.
What you choose is a matter of personal preference. With the splash, more of it would actually get onto your skin. With the spray, not all the droplets will actually land on your skin.
To make the scent last longer, try layering your skin: apply the same scent or an unscented moisturizer to your skin before adding the spray or splash.

What is the difference between a splash and a spray?
There is absolutely no difference in the fragrance. The difference is in the application only. The application body splash is right after you are down with your shower, while still wet and then dry. Body spray is after you are dressed for your clothing. However, a spray bottle, being ostensibly sealed all the time, may actually have a longer shelf life. Making the decision between spray and splash is entirely a matter of personal preference.

As far as I know, just the name. Body Splash sounds more fun and new.

It is a matter of preference.
One you splash all over your body and use substantially more.
The other you spray and use less but cost a tab bit more.

they're really the same thing, but companies think that 'body splash' sounds more appealing and will make people want to buy it.
