if u are sure that whatever u believe in is right?
many times when talking about religion, all it means is that someone believes and practices all that is asked of him by that religion. so if that religion is good than why is it wrong to believe whatever is said in it.
am i wrong in thinking that a lot of a good thing cant be wrong?

i know extremism almost always led to wrong things.
My point is how can u say that islam / judaism / catholicism is a loving religion if u might find hate in their teachings??
and im not talking about interpretations jsut plain words about the infidels and pagans etc ...

I'm a fan (fanatic) about the Dallas Cowboys. I'm a Dallas Cowboy extremist. I'm also a fan of Jesus. If that makes me a fanatic or extremist in someone's eyes, then so be it.

Many felt Jim Jones was right in all he stated and look where it got them. Wouldn't it make more sense to follow the bible that was given by God, someone that created you and follow that rather than anything any man will tell you? Most think of extremism as being way out on the far reaches of a limb that makes no sense but in fact Jesus was in His time an extremist. Also, if you think of a lot of a good thing is not wrong, think about eating lots of fudge, a very good thing but it can make you very overweight and kill you. Even too much of a good thing can be bad.

It implies dogma and a literal belief in the bible - no human being can be complete if they are ignorant enough to accept arguments from authority and die for them.
Religion is a good thing and a lot of a good thing...? So crusaders were good because they BELIEVED what they were doing? The inquisitors who burned all those women - sometimes 9 years old were doing good because they believed in it? Don't you think its a little dangerous to judge things so subjectively?
If I believed you should be killed would you feel I had a right to do it, even if I REALLY, really believed in it?

The difficulty with being an extremist arises from the fact that extremism tends to cause blind spots. Extremists are not open to reason. They take a position and will not be persuaded that there are errors in having taken it, despite being shown evidence. Extremism defeats reason.

well your dont have an open mind for certain things and try to make others sometimes by force believe in what you believe and dont except certain people for the differences in your ideas. generally it is not good to be a fanatic even if what you believe in is good, too much of a good thing is bad

Terrorism, thats whats wrong with it, radicals cross the line between talking about doing something crazy, and actually doing it, (bombing abortion clinics and drowning your children because God said so)
Even the christian bible (which i dont care much for) said everything in moderation, and i assume it also meant christianity the religion/relationship as well
