It is a question of what NOT to give him. don't feed any food with corn, soy or beet pulp, as those are the major 'gas-makers'.

Alot of times the gas issue is related to the dog food you feed. If you feed a low quality dog food with alot of junk fillers and ingrediants in it this will give gas. gas is usually caused from not being able to digest his food properlyBut why can't he digest his food? Typically dogs have a difficult time digesting their food because it is lacking in digestive enzymes and beneficial bacteria. Both are cooked out of commercial diets. Digestive enzymes and live beneficial bacteria are crucial in helping to break down difficult to digest items into more easily digestible forms. It is kind of like having all the right tools to get the job done. Imagine having only one tool for the job.
changing the food will probably help. canidae, innova, dick van pattens, solid gold, wellness and california natural are a few great all natural foods. Yes they are a bit more expensive, but in the long run your dog would be healthier and happier.
you can try putting a bit of plain yogurt in the food daily and this may help on the digestive problems and help your gassy issue a bit..

I would suggest trying to elimate the gassy problem rather than trying to treat it.
Dogs, just like people, get gas from what they eat. I would try to determine which food gives it gas. I have found that most times curing the problem is as easy as changing the brand of the dog's food or treats. Table scraps can be a possible culprit as well.

It's probably being caused by the dog food you are using. The white bag with the black letter stating "dog food", well that's just crap in a bag. You need to buy a higher grade food for your pet, he will appreciate very much. Try a fish/potatoe blend, easy on the stomach and full of omega 3, which is nice for their coat. Go to a pet supply or a feed store, or your vet to purchase quality food. The kind you get in the grocery store is full of additives and fillers. Also, never give your dog people food, it might be cute and all that stuff, but your dog's digestive system goes into overdrive when you feed like that. How would you like having a stomach ache/gassiness for weeks on end? Go shop.

Try changing their dog food. Some types of dog food will give your dog gas. I feed mine Puina One and don't have a problem.

Dogs are like humans, if you give your dog the foods that make you gas then they will as well. If that doesn't work then try changing your dog food to a different one, grab the kind that is more fatty.

feed your dog a premium quality dry kibble only,,, also, elevate his feed bowl so he doesn't eat off the floor which causes gulping in a dog who eats real fast... no table scraps,,, if you follow this,, your dog should have no gas
