I am recovering from ulnar nerve transfer surgery .it was moved from the tunnel in my elbow to another side of my arm...mine began with tingling in my little finger, then a dullness to the same finger and some in the side of the ring finger.....had some tingling in that side of my palm also and little finger after 3 weeks began drifting off to the left of others when holding hand up...would wake me up with pain, soreness, or tingling
I went first to my orthopedist who wanted the EMG studies done to first see where it was trapped since I had had neck fusion surgery before...it was in the elbow...the neurologist that did the EMG studies said I had already begun slight wasting in the muscles and if no surgery would lose use of those 2 fingers...medicine was not an option......you can put off carpal tunnel sometimes for years (I have) but not this type thing when compressed
I was in a shoulder to mid hand splint for six weeks,
could use my fingers for typing, no lifting at all during splint time, then told could lift up to a pound....now can use it just use common sense.....I have full use of it, tingling is gone and no problems.......Good Luck in getting it checked

It doesnt sound like carpal tunnel as that doesnt affect your elbow, it might be your ulna nerve in your elbow is being compressed and it thats the case the only real cure is an operation on it, but please go and see a doctor and get this checked out, as an operation is really the last resort...Good luck
