From the Catholic or Mormon church? If you want to be excommunicated from the Mormon church, commit fornication and murder.

Be progressive. Be intelligent. Be accepting. Be loving. Accept Jews. Accept Gays. That's the surest way for the church to ec-communicate you, and you will be better off in the long run.

Declare yourself the one true pope, then start ordaining married priests, female priests and gay priests, not to mention married gay priest who may or may not be female.
