I really want to get a boyfriend but I think that the guys I like think of me as like a friend. They all like my friends and I am just as pretty or athletic as them if not more. What should I do ? I am in 7th grade and I am 13.

You are way too young.

Don't worry about it!!! God will bring you the right one in His time. Just have faith in Him.

Besides, you don't want to feel the pain and heartache of love at THIS age! Enjoy being a kid... work hard in school. Boys will come later.

Sweetie the problem is not in your appearance...its in your body language. It takes a lot of guts for a guy to approach a girl and tell her something romantic. And they will do it if only they feel there is a better chance of succes.

Now how do you make them feel that?
Thats where body language comes in. If you behave to them as you would to a friend, they would be afraid to take the next step for the fear of ruining the friendship. But if you show them the signs that you are attracted to them then they will be encouraged to take the step and ask you out or what ever. By showing the signs i do not mean that you should dress sexy or revealing. Just a look deep into his eyes and a pretty smile is more than enough to convey the message.

A lot to learn you still have young apprentice....but i see you are young and talented.

Ok then what you should do is ask the boy that you really like if they like you and how much. And if he says that they only like you as a frined and thats it. Well your only 13 so you have a ways to go to get a boyfriend but never give up. Never let go of him even if you like some one else because the other boy might not like you and then you wont have a boyfriend at all.

Honey, you have plenty of time to get a boyfriend. Trust me at this age, they are more trouble than they are worth.
Take your time and find just the right guy. Don't settle for some loser just to say you have a boyfriend.
Enjoy being 13, and hanging with your friends/family, doing whatever it is you like doing and before you know it guys will be falling at your knees. Good Luck!

I am a Grampa. You have LOTS of time to get a boyfriend, and 15 or 16 sounds better than 13 years old.

Keep on with the Athletics and make more and more friends; one day, one of those friends will turn into a boyfriend.

No rush...

Well you are to young for a boyfriend anyways! You need to keep your face in the books and off the boys and does your parents know you are asking people these kinds of questions and where are there parental controls. This is the reason why people on the net get in trouble is because of children and shame on everyone for giving her boy advise.

Hmm id let them ask you usually at that age some boys are too shy to ask the girl they like out. Id wait another year before they'll ask you but If you want a boyfriend ask someone its the 21st century girls can ask guys out! So be happy and enjoy life to the fullest!

I wouldnt talk to your friends about it, honestly....it culd make things worse. It could werid things out even more bc boys that young are so immature and might start NOT talking to you if you do tell them "hey i am a chick and i would like you guys to see me more as a girl than one of the guys". Im 20 and have been in relationships...if you really really like one of them, you have to try and see if they like you too. At 13, guys dont typically come right out and say it, they are more subtle. anyways, if u do have your eye on one of them, test the waters...does he touch you lightly, flirt, play jokes, pushes you around? cute things like that...if u think so and you are positive go in for the kill. but dont go upto your group of guy friends and tell them you want to be seen as more of a girl...it is HONESTLY better to be one of the guys, eventually when they grow up they will see how beautiful you are and will prolly start liking you when it is too late! BELIEVE ME!!! Girls grow up much much faster than guys!

**I cant even date a 20yr old guy bc he is still too immature for me, well SOME of them** :)

Don't push it, it will happen when you least expect it. Boys are strange if they like you they will pick on you and tease you a bit. Boys your age, are just starting to think about girls in a different way, they are in an awkward stage, and probably sort of shy
