First of all, sugar, it's JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES. Secondly, they are called Kingdom Halls. And thirdly, they do sometimes have windows, but the ones that were NOT built with windows had to do more with cost and convenience than secrecy or some evil, ulterior motive. Find out from Witnesses themselves and see one for YOURself by visiting one. Contact your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and they will happily show you around a Kingdom Hall. Don't believe everything every unknowledgable idiot tells you... get things straight from the horses mouth if you want to know how a horse neighs!! LOL

Reading some of the comments before leaving my own was interesting to say the least.

Basically, it is because of cost. Since there is no "preacher" to fleece the flocks of their hard earned money, some congregations choose to keep the cost of construction down by not having windows. Also, there are vandelism issues to deal with as our message of God's Kingdom is not popular with some.

However, there are many Kingdom Halls that do have windows.
One was just built in the Northern part of South Carolina (where I attend) that has windows all over, to include the two huge glass doors in front of the building.

If you want to find some organization that really DOESN"T have window why don't you start with the local Masonic Lodge? They are a secret society..............the Witnesses are none of the sort.

Did you notice some of the responses you got? "...because they are all freaks . . . so no one can witness their sodomy . . ."

One person responded, accurately and reasonably, that sometimes it is because having no windows keeps the costs down and sometimes it is because of vandalism. I find it interesting that many who profess to be Christians throw stones - figurative and otherwise. Sometimes halls do not have windows because of the physical stones many people throw.

In truth, however, as the person from the Carolinas explained, many halls do have windows.

If you stop and think about it not to many worship places have windows(that you can see through anyway). I think that it is more of a privacy thing and they don't want people to be distracted from the service by what is going on outside.

Windows

This is getting old. The Kingdom Halls are fully open for anyone to see, if they didn't fear going in and learning something they didn't know before.

And 23 more in the last six months. If you want to know, go there during a meeting and look. Any time there are cars in the lot there should be a meeting going on. Unless you are afraid.
