I have been constantly in my period for the last 3 months. i have always had long, very painful periods and the doctors have no idea why. i have no cysts or any infection. there is a possibility that i have a blood clotting problem.
if you have any idea or advice let me know

Thank you all for all your answers. but i want to be more detailed.
I do not have cysts or a tumor.
My doctor isnt doing anything and my insurance is through the state.-which makes it hard to see a specialist.
i am 18 and have had my period for almost 5 years now.
i bleed A LOT. its been over 75 days straight now.
i was on the pill and the shot but they never helped and they made me super moody.
if you have any answers, or can refer a good doctor, please help.

thanks.

Go to another doctor - or ask your doctor to refer you to a specialist - you need to find someone who can tell you what is wrong so it can be sorted.

You say doctors, so I'm glad to know you're seeking medical help. Try a second or even third opinion until you get a sensible answer. A blood clotting problem needs treated or managed if that is the case. By now you should have been referred to a good OB-GYN for follow-up. Endometriosis could be a contributing factor since you have a long history of painful menses. They may also want you to consider using birth control pills for awhile to manage the bleeding.

The amount of blood you are losing is another factor; have the doctors make sure you're not anemic, eat a good, healthy diet to get adequate iron and protein and B vitamins and calcium etc...

I'm sure you're beginning to feel discouraged and demoralized, dealing with bloody drainage for that long! Try to think of it as being that many days closer to an answer.

WOW. You need to get a 2nd opinion, and your doctor should be running all sorts of test until they find out what's wrong. I'm assuming the blood is bright red, and in this case, yes, you may have a clotting problem, an open tumor, cyst, or something else. Get a second opinion and fast!

You need to keep pursuing this with your doctors. Have you seen a GYN? What about a haematologist?

Don't give up on this one and don't ever, EVER let your doctors give up on it either. It may be that you will have to travel to another city to see a doctor who has a better chance of helping you. Whatever it takes to get an answer to this one, DO IT!

there is somehing really wrong with you -thats not normal unless you have some type of birth control (like an iud) that would cause this side effect. you need to go to a doctor and get some answers. good luck and try not to lose your mind.

first of all, are you on any kind of birth control? if your Dr cant give you the proper answerer's it time to change Dr,s they have to do all kinds of test. is It hormonal do you have ENDOMETROSIS or what??? SOMEONE IS NOT DOING THEIR RIGHT TEST YOU MUST SEE A GYNECOLOGIST.
A REASON WHY YOU ARE BLEEDING. IF YOU HAD A CLOTTING DISORDER I'M SURE YOU WOULD HAVE NOTICE BY NOW. THERE ALL KINDS OF TEST THAT NEED TO BE DONE

Well, how old are you? When I first got my period I had my periods for months at a time...maybe you're just getting use to having a period or perhaps (depending on your age) you're going into menopause. Good Luck.
