Look up free fonts in google, here's a good place: http://www.dafont.com/ and once you download fonts of your choice, it open your control panel, start>control panel, and go to fonts then drop in there or use the file menu to select the fonts, restart the application you which to use it in and voila! You can also look in your windows install cd for the fonts, and drop them in.

You can add fonts to Windows (not through Word). Click Start, Control Panel, double click Fonts. It will show a list of available fonts on your computer. There should be many shown but in your case if may only be a few. If there aren't a lot you can add them by clicking File, then Install New Font. You have a problem then because you have to have a CD with fonts. I'd try putting in my Windows XP CD and hunting for fonts on it... that is where they are I'm sure but I misplaced my CD so I can't check for you. Good luck
