That is a very good question and one that rates real consideration. Thank you for bringing that to peoples attention. If my son were murdered in such a brutal way, I certainly would not want everyone to flaunt the weapon in my face.

Your name seems Islamic, and I know Muslims, and Jews do not believe in Original sin affecting their life. That each is accountable with a TABLA RAZA. So, why the cross? The fall of humanity into savagery took place from the fall, causing Cain to kill his brother, and humanity is plagued by hate and pride. A worthy sacrifice of an unblemished lamb removes it. Muslims also respect Jesus, but believe Judas was on that cross. It would have been human justice, but not Divine.

Many take it as the sign of redemption but in fact it is a pagan symbol for the god Tamuz. I like what the outcome of the cross was but sure do not like the cross itself. I serve a risen Savior.

The cross didn't kill Jesus. He died on the cross but people killed him.

Constantine said "with this symbol I shall rule!" And that is what they have been doing with that symbol since then! The cross represented Peace in Africa. It is just another symbol the west stole from the east.

Yes christ died on the cross. But thats not the point of looking to the cross. We look to it for several reasons, the main one being why he died. He died to take away our sins so that we can go to heaven with him. An innocent man, who didnt deserve death, died in our place so that we can live forever with him. He loved us that much. Before we were even born.

As a tangible reminder of why God sent His only begotten Son to us, that death on this plane of existence is temporary and will be overcome in the next one...If you believe in Jesus, and have faith.
