It is very doubtful that you can get it for free. It really depends on your insurance policy and what kind of coverage you have. Depending on the type of therapy you are talking about it may or may not be covered. If you are talking about mental health therapy, you will usually have a deductible you have to meet before the insurance will even pay. And then once you deductible is met the insurance will usually pay about 50% sometimes more but usually no more than 70%. You will most likely be limited to about 30 visits per calendary year under most medical insurance plans. You might look into trying to get the therapy through your local department of human services. Depending on how much money you make, you may qualify for state assistance for mental health care through this agency. I know when I was fresh out of college I received mental health counseling for 3 or 4 months and never paid a dime for it because of my low income. You might check into that. Also, some states have mandates that group health insurance cover mental health counseling same as any other sickness with no limitations on the policy. You might check your state laws for this possibility. Hope this helps. Or if all else fails....just seek advice on yahoo answers and we will help you the best we can! ; )

Depends on your insurance! The only health insurance I've EVER seen without copays, are policies covering public school teachers. Thank the NEA for that one, and your tax dollars.

On most insurance policies today, no, and if you can get it, not for very long. There is almost always a substantial co-pay

Probably not. You usually have to pay anywhere from your copay to 50% of the bill.
