My opinion is that this war was declared privately and with great secrecy years ago by those who use the poor and downtrodden Mexican citizens as their tool to gain power and wealth at the expense of America's citizens and the nation's sovereignty.

No. What make you think they want some sort or war? America is the land of opportunity and the only peoples that haven't forgotten that are the Mexicans. The only chance poor Mexicans have is either start a revolution in their own country or sneak into the US. So far the latter is the easiest option.

Why do they want to start a war that they know they are going to loose,, The strategics that they are using right now is the mother of all war,, it is working with out firing a shot,, what are you talking about... And they have Americans citizens, American Organizations, politicians and Media backing them up. This year the US government is going to approve a immigration Bill that will tell all of these illegals and the Mexican government that they have Won. What else do you want,,, and the total of their war it is being paid by the American people..We the Americans are so smart that all we do is talk and complain, talk and complain and by doing this the illegals are going to disappears, we think.. How do you like that??? Nice Ah!! Wake up America, it is getting late.

Well, Mexico has a lot of problems, these days. They have 110 million people, and no way to support them, yet, and so the pressure's on for the people to come up with solutions to big social problems. I think anytime something like that happens, you're going to have social unrest and a lot of malcontents.
The answers are pretty straightforward, if not necessarily profitable, Mexico needs infrastructure, road, schools, hospitals, businesses, the usual. And, until they decide that they need to come together and create these things, there's always going to be the temptation of 'el norte', and since we're talking about a lot of illegal immigration, most people realize that they're breaking the law, and it's gone on like this for at least 20 years.
Illegal immigration is a global problem, the only reason there's a focus on Mexico is because the majority of illegal immigrants in the USA today come from Mexico, not all, but the majority.
As far as wars go, Mexico lost the US-Mexico war, fought in 1846-1848, and it was concluded with the signing of the Treaty Of Guadalupe-Hidalgo, and america as we know it today was finalized in its' shape by the Gadsden Purchase. Study your history, and read also about Cesar Chavez, with emphasis on what he had to say about illegal immigration(he was against it).
It's a big problem, won't be solved tomorrow, and the long-term fix of Mexico figuring out how to support its' own people is probably 20 years away. Until all that comes about, be ready to hear more 'you stole our land from us/america is dying/insert rhetoric here'....I think a lot of it will diminish when they do the passport thing. Legal immigration's a good thing, illegal immigration is not, be sure to support border and immigration enforcement, attend your city council meetings etc.

I don't think so. I think they just want the best for their families, just like everyone else. One thing that I did learn which is pretty surprising is if an American is found illegaly in Mexico it's pretty bad news for the American. I don't know the punishment exactly so don't quote me but you'll end up in a Mexican prison for quite awhile.
While I understand the desperation of people wanting to come to America, I do not understand the hypocrital stance the Mexican government has about us.

well, it depends on how you look at it. there are current 'wars' going on among the government officials about whether they should keep allowing the illegals to stay in our country.
but if you are talking about a civil war...not really, besides there are enough people here that understand spanish. so, the mexicans would lose anyways

Yes I do. Not all.....but enough to cause some serious problems. We have had Mexicans here forever and they haven't caused the turmoil that is present today. Not all are causing problems but enough to indicate a serious attitude problem about not wanting to be a part, but a replacement for America as we know it.

Mexicans don't stand a chance in a war against the U.S. on or off American soil.

An official war between the US and Mexico.... I think not. Mexico does not have the resources, manpower, or military technology to go head to head with the United States.
Now the Mecican Mafia or MS13 turning to terrorism against the US, I can see that happening.

Lighten up man! you got a million people in this country that won't work. He comes a man who wants to work and you still complain. They just want a job. Never heard them threaten anyone. Who cares what language they speak, they are working.
Job's are not going overseas, they pay taxes, more importantly they are USA consumers. That keeps the ecomony going.
You don't see them demonstrateing in Mexico and burning American flags? They don't say death to our president.
They love it here and want to stay and make a decent life for themselves. I would refuse to fight in a war with Mexico.
Unless it was to get rid of the rich leaders who keep the masses in poverty. I wish the masses would revolt against the leaders.
in their own country.
