i am 18 and going out with a man 15 years older than me.he also happens to be my ex boyfriends friend.weve liked each other a long time but i dont know if it would be more hassle than its worth.help!

Just based off the age difference, it's most likely he's just after you for your hot young body. There's always a chance he wants to pursue a real relationship, but it seems more likely he's in it for the physical part.

Personally I'm always looking for hot 18-19 year olds because they are naive. Proceed cautiously.

In my opinion, I don't think so. You are still very young and to date a guy 15 years your senior is a big gap. Plus he's your ex boyfriend's friend. That's going to cause a lot of drama. You should never date your ex boyfriend's friends. But if you guys like each other try it out for awhile and see how it goes. If it doesn't work out then that was a lesson that had to be learned.

It will not work in the long run.....by the time you want children it is about his time to start winding down and mellowing out in life.....if you read several post on here regarding this subject you will find that men and women in the same boat are having trouble with the relationship because of such a large age difference.

So my answer is should age be a barrier no it shouldn't but the age difference makes it a barrier in the wants and needs of the other in time.....so my answer is no its not likely to be a successful relationship in the long term.

Look this guy MIGHT be into you for the long run. What I am concerned about is the fact that you are 18, and you have had enough sexual experience to know that the sex with him isnt great, which makes me think you need help, and not a 33 year old jerk taking advantage of a young 18 year old girl who is confused. Please start looking after yourself, and stop giving yourself to men who are probaly just in this for the sex in any event. Have some respect for yourself, and I assure you, making love with someone you really love is sooo much better than just doing it for the sake of doing it.

It could work for awhile ,till he seems to be getting old to you.Then you might see a younger guy that attracts you.I had a 12 year younger boyfriend, but afer 9 years he was interested in someone ,his own age.I have a girlfriend going threw a devorce right now.Her husband was 12 years older.She told me ,that she is tired of him with his aches and pains . So it could go good now with this relationship , but the future could change.

No: For starters he is far older and has experienced more things in life than you have. Don't feel that you don't have choices here. But why don't you rather date other people around your age and have fun doing it rather than get serious with someone who is that much older. The fact is older people tend to dominate a relationship where there is a considerable age difference.

Listen if he is 15 years older than u and your 18 then I say probably not. He is your ex-boyfriends friend and he could turn out just like your ex. My advise is try it and if you do not like it then stop.

I'm always suspicious of a man in his 30s going out with someone in her teens. Couple that with the fact that he's friends with your ex and I have to question his motives. What do your parents think about this? Find someone nice your own age.

I met my wife when she was 18 and I was 33. I thought she was older and she thought I was younger when we first met. We married a year later and have 2 wonderful children. So, yes it can work!
