After dark you can use an underwater light that attracts fish of many species, including baitfish, and larger fish. It depends on the type of water (fresh or saline) to determine the species to attract. These lights produce a lot of heat, which is why they do so well as fish attractors.
It is also known as a Green Light, or Green Fishing Light. It is called that because of the hue that it gives off, and the color of light that reaches the surface of the water.

the absolute best time of the day to go fishing is imediately after sunset. Not only are most of the pontoon and ski boats in for dinner (meaning no unwanted traffic), but the fish are also patrolling the water for dinner. depending on what you are fishing for, i like to use lighter colors, such as white or yellow.

If you are referring to the email you've got from some guy claiming he has the secret it is a light. Its used to first attract bugs and microscopic bait to it followed by small baitfish which in turn brings the bigger fish. But my secret in bass fishing summertime evenings is TOPWATER baits. A buzzbait, popper, spit'n image, jitterbug, and frog baits will get you bit....HARD!!!
