Ok i have a great guy friend, known him for about half a year. We've been out a few times only as mates. Thing is i have always felt something for him and just recently he's been acting very flirty around me, i mean we've always really got on and he jokes around so much, which he don't do in front of anyone else, i really think we've become close. We arranged to meet today but when i got there he said he wern't feeling too well and wanted to go home so i said ok i'll walk you home, which he does with me loads of times,he refused at first but eventually i did but all the way he was quiet then he commented on the state of where he lives. We were planning on going to the pics but now he said he don't wanna go, he just left me at the bus stop to come home. I understand it was probably cos he wern't feeling well but something just didn't feel right. What do you think is happening, i can't work out his mixed signals. One time he will be really flirty then another he will seem distant.

He has been through some bad times, he has no family around him and i've been someone he can talk to, he really opens up to me, he lives in a rough area in a flat, he hasn't much money and i'm wondering maybe thats why he don't wanna take things further, because i know he feels very ashamed of that. Not that it makes any difference to me, i love him no matter what. What do you think? And what could i say to make him think differently?

ask him what's the matter. if you two have recently came close and he jokes around with you but not infront of someone else and he's been flirty and all than just ask him if something is bothering him or not. and if you think you can listen to someone letting their feelings out and you know you can make them feel better than tell him that he can talk to you about anything and specially cuz you two have been out before even though as mates.

I'm sure he feels the same way about you

try talking to him - great communication leads to great relationships.....

however, if it is absolutely necessary for you to know what's on his mind, take him to a hypnotherapist or get him to undergo a narco test....if possible....this is of course in an extreme case....

or may be u can invent a camera that will click a pic of his thoughts ummmmm

In order to get a better answer you should put an age area, because people change at different ages, and no one answer will work for all.

Best thing to do is to ask him point blank about his feelings for you. Tell him ur thoughts and desires and see if they match with his. Its best to discover the truth one way or another. Don't be afraid to ask
