What are some basic properties of microwaves? (Inbetween Radio waves and Infrared on the spectrum)
What websites can I go to to help me find out more about microwaves?
Where are microwaves? (e.g. Microwave ovens, cell phones, etc.)
The more resources you provide, the better!
Thanks.

Microwaves are small radio waves, about 4 inchs long. They travel at the speed ofl light.( wave speed=frequency X wavelenth)
They reflect .In a microwave oven the waves are generated by a magnetron. They bounce off the inside of the oven (reflect) and bounce off metal cookware. They go through glass and plastic and paper. In food they cause the molecules to vibrate faster,(the definition for temperature is, how fast the molecules are moving). They are used in communication as carrier waves for cell phones and TV.With the proper receiving antenna you can pick them up. With the proper transmitting antenna you can send them. They are also used in police RADAR.

Microwaves are generally only line of sight, though they can reflect a little. The higher the frequncy microwaves, the more they are attenuated (weakened) by atmospheric moisture. Wikipedia will tell you quite a lot about microwaves.
