My friend and I went to church last week and something weird happened. When we went to holy communion....and dipped her hand into holy water, she got burned and she said it kinda stung a bit. How is that possible?

It's possible she just needs lots of attention which you seem OK in giving her.

Burned by Water. Human Flesh does not get burned by water. Irregardless of what color or how old the human is, water does not "burn" flesh. Hot water can scald flesh, boiling water can do worse, but your friend?
Needs to stop lying to gain attention, and you need to stop being so easy when it comes to things like that. Don't you know the roman catholic church is a lie in itself?
God does not come down from heaven week after week at 8:35am or whenever, to take the form of a little white circular wafer. If that were so, that would mean that the priests had the authority to tell GOD what to do, by telling him to hop into the wafer every week, so it could be passed around, and everyone could eat him up like a cannibal. So again, God doesn't float down from heaven, and all his hair, eyeballs, fingernails, skin, etc doesn't invisably transform into a present wafer.
Holy water is just water with salt and sand in it. It doesn't make you any holier if you take it, it doesn't make you any more the sinner if you don't. Water. that's it.
Christ died for your sin debt on a cross before you were even born, knowing the sins you were going to do in the life youre urrently living now. believe in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. (Acts 16:31)

It is not possible. The water the priest use to sprinkled on people comes from the tap. There is nothing holy about the water and it sure will not burn you unless it had been heated. Maybe they turn on the wrong side and used hot water.

Could be psychological. Possibly some sin in your friend's life that she is still having trouble with. Assure her that God has put ALL of her sins as far from her as the East is from the West....
Then again, maybe you both need to quit watching those old horror movies on television. After all, girls...it's just WATER......

~~~ c,,, Sounds a little like caustic soda or hydrogen peroxide was introduced by a Prankster. With your Mindset ready and poised to assume some Paranormal Intervention you should realize that you are approaching the Gullibility of those who find Religious Icons in burnt food or reflections of glass and attribute them to Divine Communication. That's very strange. I make and use Holy Water by the gallons and I've never heard of such a thing happening.
Most likely, she wants attention and saw this in a movie.
But, if she is really telling the truth, she will go to a priest. She would not have to be evil for a fallen angel to have taken interest in her. Has she played with Tarot or Ouija? If it is the truth, this is very serious, but she could be lying to you. And, if you really want the truth, don't ask here. Have HER go to your priest.
It is impossible. The water is taken from the cold water tap and is left at room temperature. It seems your friend is a Drama Queen who is making something out of nothing,but needs the attention of others.
Did she go to confession before going to communion? It might be a sign from God that he is not happy with the way your friend is not happy with the way she is living.
If that happened to me, I would be very afraid. I think she should definitely talk to a priest about it.
