I have 2 characters I need names for.
1. A little girl who attends a catholic school. She's an angel in her school play. Attends church regularly. Very sweet girl. She ends up dying at the end. But two weeks before she dies, she had a school project where everyone had to guess what she was. She wrote down "I have no birthdate, I have no death date, I live forever" & her answer was an angel.
2. The alcoholic mother who didn't take care of her children at all, including the little girl. She doesn't care about religion. She griefs the death of her daughter at the end and finally accepts that there is a God.
Any good biblical names or names in general that would be good for these characters? Please correct me if I'm wrong about some religious information.

girl- Lucy, Hope, Grace, Destiny, Isabell/Isabella, Jessica, Alayna, Katharine, Lilly
mother- Helen, Katy, Veronica, Tina
last name- Anderson, Emerson

Well all the angels mentioned in the Bible were all male, but their role is to be a messenger. So I would just pick a nice pretty name like Grace or Destiny. The mother could be called Annabelle. That sounds like a good name for someone who changes from not so good to good.

Mara would be good for the Mom as it means bitter, but Jezebel comes out stronger and more wicked.
As for the girl: Ruth would be a good choice because of her child like faith. Miriam too had the same child like faith and sat at the feet of Jesus.

Susan which means Lily for the girl . Raven for the mom. Last name Conners.

I would call the girl Mary, Mary seems good for the mother too (there seem to be allot of them in the bible) but that wouldn't make sense. Perhaps someone else has another name for her.

name the little girl destiny as it's a beautiful name and pertains to what the character's fate is about and for the alcoholic mom call her agnus or whatever you feel like calling her
