Prior to the Tate-LaBianca murders, why was Charles Manson considered crazy when he declared himself as the son of god? Did jesus not do the exact same thing? Both men believed themselves to be the son of god. Both used prostutites to draw men into their beliefs; Jesus had Mary and Manson had his group of women from the Haight/Asbury area. The both clamed the world was going to end and that they were the savior to lead them into some kind of utopian afterlife. I find it funny how many devout religious people can take in what the hear and believe it without doing some logical thinking into what they're being told. Why is Charles Manson any different from Jesus? Maybe it's becuase I'm a "see it to believe it" kind of guy but there are just too many flaws in this Jesus jazz not to take notice too. The irrationality of it all gives me a headache sometimes. Why do those of you, as Christians, follow Christianity? Have you been raised by it or have you converted?

I didn't expect to recieve a flood of answers from a handful of immature twats. No one has even answered my question fully. Instead of wasting my time...and my air why don't you go put your ***** in a bible and **** it until your savior comes and leave everyone else alone.

Believe me brother, you will see but it will be too late. To compare Jesus to Manson is to get in the face of Jesus and spit on Him. I hope His wrath has no end when He meets you.

He's not, in fact I kind of think he even looks a bit like how most folks picture Jesus. Another parallel which I don't think you mentioned was that well neither one of the actually murdered any one, BOTH have inspired murder. One need only to look at the Dark Ages to see what the bible inspired. Many of the ramblings in the bible are just as nutty as some of the things Manson said.

Some of the stuff he said is pretty funny.
Quotes from Charles Manson:

"I'm the pope. I'm ten times the pope. I'm sixty times the pope. But I'm the pope in the hills and in the mountains."

"If you are going to do something, do it well. And leave something witchy."

"Women today are not satisfied. ... They want men, but all they find are little boys."

"I may have implied on several occasions to several different people that I may have been Jesus Christ, but I haven't decided yet what I am or who I am."

Good point. Let us not forget David Koresh too. The big difference is that Jesus pretty much preached good and didn't kill a bunch of people to prove his point. Of course back 2000 years ago it would probably have been easier to get a large portion of the population to believe and follow you.

Edit: +8 minutes I hope you aren't referring to me in your additional details rant. I happen to agree with you for the most part. I only pointed out that according to the Gospels that Jesus preached good loving things while the same can not be said for Chairlie. According to Tex he was trying to incite a race riot so he could rule over the blacks that would win the race war and therefor rule the world. That is a bit different than what Jesus (if there was a Jesus) preached. To say Charlie never killed anyone is crazy. He may not have plunged the knives but he certainly orchestrated the murders.

Check your references, Ace...Jesus NEVER claimed to be the son of God, only the Son of MAN. Charles Manson was and still is a despicable specimen of a human being. He will roast in Hell for cospiracy to commit murder. Any comparison of the two is simply ludicrous, and is not entertained by any but a few. Go back to your crack-pipe.

Manson is a psycho murderer and full of hate. Jesus is all love. I didn't see the name of Manson in the Bible and God did not say Manson is his son.

There is no comparison between Jesus and Charles Manson.
Jesus brings life.
Manson is a murderer.

Worst analogy ever. Charlie Manson doesn't GAIN any credibility by claiming to be Christ. He is a sick and deluded mental patient who was head of a sick and perverted group that killed. They KILLED. Jesus healed. There is no comparison.
