apple juice will increase heartburn. milk is suppose to help neutralize it. also eating one or two slices of bread will help.

No, apple juice will increase the heartburn because of it's acidity.
You want an alkaline based item that will neutralize the acid that's causing your heartburn.
Your based natural alternative is a stalk of celery.
Sounds simple, but trust me, it works!

No, it will cause you to produce more stomach acid. When my Gerd kicks in I drink milk to help coat my stomach or eat on some Tums or Rolaids. Anything acidic that you eat or drink, fruit, tomato products, sodas, etc. will only increase the already over active acid in your stomach causing the heartburn to get worse. You don't want to do that because the next thing you know you'll be throwing up stomach acid. That's no fun what so ever.
