ok! i like this boy a lot. everybody says he likes me back. i dont know. but lets say he does. lets say he asks me out.
there are reasons to say yes, and reasons to say no.
yes: because we like each other and we would make a cute couple
no: because my friend and i both liked him. she says shes completely over him and that i should go for it. but i think it would be selfish of me
*IF* he likes me back and asks me out, should i say yes, believe my friend? or should i say no, just incase shes not over him?

well this isn't that hard. you obiously like him alot and your friend knows him. but what you need to do is sit down with her and have a conversation. find out hat her true feelings are. don't just go for it. thats rude. so once you find out whats up then you make your next move. if she says she likes him but really doesnt mind then go for it but be carful. don't flont it. when shes around try to keep the touching and kissing to a minimum. but if she doesnt like him then even better. you can even find her a guy and double date. no matter what happenes just stick to the girl code. " boys are whatever and friends are forever" and " guys will come and go ut friends will be their forever"
good luck and be careful

Well, yes your friend says that but if she's truly your friend then it might hurt to let go of him but she will be willing or try and if he does ask you out then yes. If you think she isn't then you and him should wait a while before you start dating

Before you get involved with him, you should probably find out the truth about what caused them to split. There may be reasons that you are not aware of.
It seems like you do like him, and he likes you. Start dating, but do so carefully.

no.Even though your friend says yes, she likes him and that bothers her, but doesn't want to tell you this, and because of that she tells you yes.In my opinion friendship is more important than this guy whom you even don't know if he really likes you.You will find another one that is just for you and till this happens keep you friend, you will need her in your life :)

you should make sure your friend id being honest she may be lying, tell her to be truthful....a real friend would let you go out with him if he asks you out

i would say yes, then if your friend seems uncomfortable or she actually does like him, talk to her about it.
