I'm a 16 year old girl with hair that goes to my upper-mid back. It's wavy by nature, but I straigthen it daily. I always have a middle part, (in fact, I can't not part my hair even if I wanted to, it doesn't stay) and I've currently got slight angles on both sides.

I'm getting a haircut next weekend, and I want to do something different with my hair that'll still look good when I straighten it. I was thinking about bangs or something, but I don't really know how to describe what I want to the hairdresser. Any suggestions on good bang styles/any pics?

Just remember that your hair will always look its best, even on "bad hair days" if you don't fight the kind of hair you have. Try to find the flow that your hairs tends to be. I have wavvy, not curley hair but I have found that the good spray products that encourage curls is good. That way I can have reasonable nice loose curls one day and straighter hair the next. John Frieda (sp?) products work well and don't leave your hair sticky nor wet looking. Also Garneir Fructis Style Curl Shaping spray gel is a good one that is not expensive. But, when you want straight hair, use a shampoo that helps like "smoothing" shampoo. If you use your straight iron too often you are going to have burned ends and it will begin to break off in clumps. I am able to get up in the mornings (after straightening my hair one day) and just simply use the med. heat setting on my dryer and a good round brush that has a metal base to straighten it back out. Try not to shampoo but every few days or so. You can use headbands, clips and the new awesome scarves, etc. to hide dirty hair. :)

Maybe you can get it layered: its always easy to style and very fashionable, and side bangs since you're looking into bangs.
Hope this helps:)
