My throat has hurt for 2 weeks now, and i went to the doctor and he gave me medicine and it didn't work and i have tried salt water gargle, honey and lemon tea, drinking hot beverages practically everything and it still hurts... BUT the back of roof of my mouth is causing TERRIBLEEEEE PAIN it hurts soooooooooooooo bad for a few days can someone help me plllllleaseeeeeeeeee thanks soooo much!

I had something like that, and it turned out to be Mono. I had a fever and my neck hurt along with my throat. The doctor I went to misdiagnosed me and gave me "pain pills" that hurt too much to swallow.

You should go back to the doctor, it's possible the medication that was given to you wasn't effective and another kind may need to be tried, or a stronger dose....
